Pont-l'Eveque 2025

Eighteen cars assembled on the dockside in Portsmouth to catch the afternoon crossing on the new Brittany Ferries ship, Guillame de Normandie, to Ouistreham in France. The ship is one of a new fleet of economical hybrid ships and a smooth crossing was enjoyed and a tasty meal was taken before unloading just as the sun set.

Eighteen cars gathered at Portsmouth for the afternoon sailing to Ouistreham aboard Brittany Ferries’ new Guillame de Normandie. After a smooth crossing and an evening meal we stayed four nights in St‑Gatien‑de‑Bois, using Pont‑l’Évêque as our base.

The days that followed featured scenic drives through the Normandy countryside, visits to a Livarot cheesemaker and a Calvados distillery in Cambremer, and several organised runs along quiet lanes and coastal roads.

Highlights include the sunset arrival and some dramatic weather that made for memorable photos. Enjoy the gallery.
